Pushing Daisy Tuesday Tribute is a series of posts promoting the Pushing Daisy Drive (Driven by Miss Daisy’s Daughter). Every episode is a small tribute to my mom Daisy and hopes to share updates, inspirational posts and quotes, and acknowledge campaign supporters.

I grew up hearing my mother quote this proverb all the time. To me, it means to see the handwriting on the wall, pay attention to the signs and take precautions and learn from other’s and your own mistakes. This has been key for me and less has proven to be best in 2020!
I can’t believe February 14, 2020 makes exactly five months since my last blog post announcing going into 30 Days of Silence and my 2020 Book Vision Schedule. You can imagine my surprise coming out of 30 days of silence at the Vipassana retreat center in Jessup, GA. only to discover that the whole world was on lock down and all my plans would never be the same again!
Thankfully, I was allowed to stay within the peace of the center for an extra two weeks. In that time, my plans changed to go back to Mexico to house sit earlier than scheduled. The irony of it all! I arrived to the retreat center on February 14th,Valentines Day,and left on April 1st, April Fools’ Day. I guess in regards to my 2020 plans, the joke was really on me! COVID-19 has truly “changed my funk to disco,” and now my plans have narrowed in focus out of necessityandurgency. Stay tuned for updates on my next post.

One of the greatest teachings I received from Zoey Marae, the late great medical intuitive, was that mothers represent our power and fathers represent our path. She used the analogy of a river, with the mother being the body of water and the father being the river bed.
It’s ironic that my mother was born in Antigua where they brag of having 365 beaches for every day of the year and my father was born in Dominica where they brag of having 365 rivers for everyday of the year. Our “mother power” is the amount of water and our “father path” is the ease of flow and direction of the water.
Our Power
What I know to be true about power is that it comes from our spiritual foundation. Contrary to what many believe, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. While I inherited a strong spiritual foundation from my mother, one of her weaknesses was not knowing how to direct her power to manifest her dream of becoming a successful social entrepreneur.
Our Path
What I know to be true about a positive pathway is that it comes from our perception. Contrary to what many believe, how we see ourselves and the world is based on what we perpetually think. My father was MIA most my childhood, so although I’m unaware of him leaving a learning legacy, he did the best he could and left me a lineage to one of the most beautiful places on the planet-Dominica.

Because we inherit our power and our path from our parents, we start off with certain strengths and weaknesses from the get go, but it’s up to us as adults to maximize our strengths and minimize our weaknesses.
Publishing Prayers of a Virgin
When I first started what has now been a seven year journey to publish Prayers of a Virgin: 52 Weeks of Poetic Inspiration and Personal Planetary Guidance with the Destiny Cards (POV) both my parents were alive. Just like my mother, my challenges have been around consciously co-creating my life and my living doing what I love as a light beacon, unbought and unbossed. POV has been a real labor of love and points the way for all light beacons to become better conscious co-creators of the life they desire by reclaiming their “virgin mindset.” It also provides a fun, hands-on approach to learning Cardology, an ancient astrological system hidden in the deck of playing cards.
The Million Dollar Question
Now that my power and my path have both passed, in what area and in what manner do I create my own powerful pathways in the world? From today, the date of my mother’s sunrise, Sept. 26th, to POV’s Publication Day, the date of my father’s sunset, Oct. 12th, will prove to be a powerful period for me in declaring my power and my path and it will all take place on Patreon’s platform.
Why POV Was Postponed
Originally POV was going to be published today on my mother’s Earthday; however, after attending a Hay House Writer’s Workshop webinar, I realized I had more revisions to make. The new publication date is scheduled for Oct. 12th, the day my father made his transition, which actually is a much better date astrologically.
Ironically, I made the decision to change the date just when Saturn stationed direct on Sept. 18th! During this 7 year period, I was so focused on my mother since she passed away shortly after I began this project and completely forgot to mention my father passing in the dedication page as well! It’s become clear to me now that as I declare and reclaim my path as a writer and entrepreneur, I can’t forget to acknowledge my papa, my path.

The last post I made was on my Mother’s Earthday, just 9 days after having survived hurricane Maria in Dominica. Now, 19 months later on Mother Earth’sDay, I’m renewing my commitment to both! And what better day than on Earth Day, April 22nd, to revamp my commitment to Mamma Earth and Mamma Daisy. Also, the Sun conjuncts Uranus in Taurus for the first time in what will be a 7 year period of major planetary shifts!
My Vipassana Bell Story
Since the time I first started sitting silent Vipassana meditation retreats nearly 20 years ago, I’ve always avoided volunteering to ring the wake up bell at 4:00 a.m. daily. Fortunately for me, a Buddhist nun volunteered to ring the bell for the last course I sat that officially started on April Fools’ Day. But the joke was on me! For the first time ever, the bell was so faint, I could barely hear when she rang it because her building was further away from my room. At first, I wanted to complain and ask the course manager to ask her to ring the bell a little louder and walk a little further so it could be heard a little better. But then I thought, “I don’t even like ringing the bell myself, so I should give the sister a break.” Yet, throughout the duration of the course, the thought kept arising in my mind and I kept letting it pass away. Then, on the very last day, I got the download of what it all symbolized!
Bellony’s Bell and Trump’s Trumpet
As one of G.O.D.’s many angel ambassadors, I volunteered (just like Trump) to be born into a body and to ring my unique bell so that I could assist Mother Earth in awakening humanity at this final hour. It all made sense to take on this task in the heavens before I got here. But then I forgot just how daunting it can be living in an era with so much darkness and density.

Bellony’s Bell is similar to Trump’s Trumpet. There are angels of love and light and there are angels of darkness and destruction. Either way, and by whatever means, G.O.D. uses it all to awaken the masses at this most crucial hour. The Generator, Operator and Destroyer of All That Is has always been in control and the truth of the matter is– It’s ALL G.O.D. Humanity just needs to decide whether it will stay inside the heart space and ascend with Mother Earth or stay outside the heart space and leave this place in disgrace.

Thanks to the Buddhist nun, I have a better appreciation for how other “earth angels” must feel when I don’t show up wholeheartedly to play the role of an angel of love and light.
At the Vipassana retreat, I was relying on the bell to awaken me, but sometimes I didn’t hear it at all, so I’d miss my morning meditation. This experience helps me to see just how important it is for me to shine my light and to “Ring My Bell” as an act of service to my tribe.
From the word Earth you get–heart, hear and art. How will you hear Mother Earth with your heart to make a new start and then share your greatest gifts with Gaia so your life becomes a work of art?
Trump is playing his role as an angel of darkness and destruction perfectly. He has loudly blown his trumpet issuing the final call to humanity to awaken at this final hour. So what is your call? Or calling rather? Is it to watch the news and complain everyday? Or is it to drop down into the heart space and choose a more constructive way?
If you have an instrument of inspiration to play, then NOW is the time to play it.
If you have an unnecessary or unwanted load to bear, then NOW is the time to unload it
If you have a light in your heart to shine, then NOW is the time to shine it.
My 2020 Vision Revisited

History of Fyah Burning on St. Croix
Whether it be the historic “Fireburn” Labor Rebellion on Oct. 1, 1878 or the fire burning at a Rasta ceremony with Nyabinghi drumming and chanting, St. Croix is no stranger to fyah burning. This shot was taken at an African Liberation Day celebration. I’m sure my mother, the rebel and Zulu Queen Daisy would like this one!

MOVED BY MOM-Why This Blog Exists
The idea for this travel blog has been a long time coming with cycles of courage in the completion. It was back in 2009 when my friend Miguel originally designed the logo and the seed of my travel blog was born. Little did I know how much significance the bee (Hebrew for Deborah) and the daisy on my logo would have. On Nov. 14th, 2013 my mother, Daisy, made her transition and that was The Day That Changed Everything, providing the courage and motivation to move on my dreams.
THE JOURNEY BEE-GINS
On January 14th, 2014, I launched a 10-Month Manifest Your Desires Campaign. My mission was to encourage, inspire and support others in manifesting their desires by blogging about my 10-month commitment to manifest my desires in honor of my mother. While bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert , “Ate, Prayed, and Loved” her way through Italy, India and Indonesia, I set out to “Travel Write, Fundraise and Book Publish” my way through those 10 months. I also began the Pushing Daisy Drive (Driven by Miss Daisy’s Daughter) which is an on-going, long-term vision to build an Eco-friendly home and health education center in Antigua, West Indies in honor of my mother’s legacy of service.

This has been a pretty “buzzy” week so far, with a lot of traveling and more to come as I prepare to attend the 25th Bioneers Summit Conference in California this weekend. As a result of some unexpected events (Mercury retrograde), I decided to take a week off from blogging. But I will be back with Part 7 of the 10 Part Series involving the serendipitous and mysterious events and occurrences involving the date of Nov. 14th.
